Paul Harris Awards
Posted by Sarah
Monday's meeting was a special one for our club. On International Women's Day, we had the privilege of awarding two of our finest female members with Paul Harris Awards.
We always say our club is like family, and sometimes we take that quite literally! What a wonderful opportunity that member Saba was able to award her sister, Madiha Khan, and member Sarah had the honour of awarding her mother, Phyllis Grier.

Congratulations to Phyllis and Madiha for their outstanding contributions to the Rotary Foundation.

Speaker - Norma Gamble
With a list of accomplishments (in small font that took up a full page) in Marketing, Real Estate, Communications and a multitude of Community Projects, Norma was one of 11 who received Halton's "Honouring 150 years of Exemplary Women" award in 2017.

In Rotary, Norma was Team Leader of the Group Study Exchange Program to Austria in 1996, a former member of the Oakville Trafalgar Club, and the Charter President of the new Passport South Club. Currently Norma is the Director of Community Service in our District, also involved with the new Environment Committee and the Disaster Advisory Response Group.

The presentation Norma gave was on being well informed, be a club champion and how to get involved with Community Projects.
